A documentary series, currently ongoing, strives to photograph the former pit miners in old colliery sites in South Wales, alongside the last miners still working in the last drift colliery in the UK.
Shot entirely on 5x4 large format film, I decided to use an older format camera, to photograph these people and places, to capture the timeless history and deep rooted culture that still lives on in small patches, now slowly being lost to time.
